Text Box: About Us
Text Box: Lily Chin started dancing with the U of S Ballroom Dancing Club in 1972 and became an instructor shortly after. Since then she thoroughly enjoyed sharing her love of dancing with its members and taught in all three levels of dance (Beginners, Intermediate, & Advanced).
Besides Ballroom dancing, Lily branched out to other dance arts such as Lindy, Country, and Chinese Cultural. She also joined the Hepkatz Performance Troupe and performed at Folkfest, Dare to Dance, Legal Follies and several other special events.
Five years ago Lily started competing in the ProAm division and in 2003 partnered up with Larry Larson. Together they competed in the Amateur division throughout Western Canada.

Larry Larson started ballroom dancing, with some apprehension, at Arthur Murray in 1990 and quickly discovered it to be a most challenging sport. He especially loves the competitive aspect. He joined the Uof S Ballroom Dancing Club and became an instructor in 1993. At the same time he began training in International Ballroom Dance.
His quest has led him to perform at numerous special events as well as competing within Western Canada.

Text Box: One of our highlites was performing with Marilyn Faye Parney at World Expo in Nagoya, Japan. Marilyn was chosen by Canada to represent both Saskatchewan and Alberta at Expo. Marilyn wowed the audiences with her incredible singing. We, on the other hand, had the pleasure of performing Jive, Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, and West Coast Swing .
Text Box: We love being inspired by watching dance performances and competitions. We hope that we too, in some small way, can inspire others to reach higher and go beyond their comfort zone. Like any sport, practise brings rewards of enjoyment
